When you first create an account (using Twitter or Facebook or by adding your email and password) you will be logged in straight away. You will also get an email letting you know your username and giving you a link to log back in.

When you come back to the website you can use the link in the email or go to http://www.brightonrestaurantawards.co.uk/user to log in. You can then use your username or email address and password you set when you created your account.

If you can't remember your password you can request a new one by entering your email address you used when first registering, just use this link - http://www.brightonrestaurantawards.co.uk/user/password and you will be sent a password reset link.

It stands for: Brighton Restaurant Awards Vote Online. The acronym also works well for the action of giving your favourite restaurant a cheery ‘Bravo’ for their efforts! BRAVO is also known as the Brighton Restaurant Awards and they started 3 years go.

The BRAVOs are set up and run by the team behind Brighton’s most popular dining website - Restaurants Brighton. The team realised that there was no 100% public restaurant awards for the city and surrounding area so decided that 2017 would be the perfect time to launch the BRAVO awards. In 2019 the BRAVOs will be 3 years old.

Yes they are. We are committed to ensuring the awards are 100% voted for by the public - which means no panel of judges or critics influencing the vote. All votes will be cast online online via a dedicated hub at brightonrestaurantawards.co.uk and there are limits to how many times an individual can vote for a certain venue (in 5 categories max) to ensure no funny business goes on. All voters must register their email address to be able to vote in each of the 16 categories.
All venues will be able to promotes themselves using the assets we have provided on the website, and the printed marketing material which we will provide to all venues who would like to encourage their customers to vote.

Due to the volume of eateries and bars in Brighton, Hove and Sussex it would be near impossible to create individual pages for each one on the site. But that doesn’t mean we don’t think you’re important! Voters can still choose to vote for venues that aren’t listed by submitting their request via email to hello@brightonrestaurantawards.co.uk and we'll ensure it's uploaded as an option within 48 hours. The venue must be within a 15 mile radius of Brighton city centre and be suitable to win the award, e.g. only pubs can be submitted for 'Best Pub Grub'! We currently have about 450 venues listed on the BRAVO website.

We’re keen for all independent venues to promote themselves for a BRAVO award no matter the size of your business or marketing budget! That’s why we have created a page of assets to use for this very purpose - this dropbox folder includes images, logos, videos, and animations.
We can drop also drop you you off a batch of promo cards to give out at your venue to customers if you have not received them already. Get in touch if you need to discuss further.

Cast your vote by clicking on your chosen category on the homepage and enter the venue you’d like to win. If your chosen venue is not featured then please contact us so we can add it to the mix. Please note you'll need to register to vote by using your email address, Twitter or Facebook account. You can vote in up to 16 categories.

Yes! We’d love you to vote for all 16 categories, but please note you can only vote for a particular venue in a maxiumum of five categories and only if they are suitable for the award, e.g. a cocktail bar cannot be voted for in the 'Best Restaurant' category. If you notice a venue isn't featured in the correct category then please get in touch. Vote for as many or as fewer categories as you wish.

You’re keen! Nope just one venue per category. But you can vote in all 16 categories. You can only vote for a venue 5 times too (across 5 different categories).

The BRAVO awards are purely an online vote via the website voting system. This keeps things fair as no one is allowed to manually add votes and everyone who votes will be registered. You can vote therefore via email/ Twitter or Facebook.

Important question! If you can’t see an independently owned venue that you’d like to vote for and it is within a 15 mile radius of Brighton then please contact us and suggest your nomination. We will then make sure it fits with our criteria and add to the list so others can also choose it. Please note that you cannot nominate a chain restaurant (one that has over 10 venues in the UK) or a takeaway.

Your beady eyes are correct - we’ve decided that in the spirit of celebrating local businesses the awards are only open to small-scale independent venues that are locally run or occasionally micro chains. This means we've included companies with ten venues or less.

If you have pressed the wrong button or changed your mind on a category vote simply reclick on the vote you wish to cancel and it should say 'vote removed'. You can then go and vote again for this category. Go and try it.

Yes. But it’s super quick! Simply login via your Facebook or Twitter account or using your email address so we know you are a real person and not a sneaky robot. Only 1 voting account per person.

The public firstly and then the computer will do the counting! The voting process will end at midnight on Sunday 10th March 2019 and winners will be announced w/c 28th March on the BRAVO website.

It’s as simple as casting your vote! When you register to vote your email address will be entered into our prize draw to win the main prize which is £200. Make sure you use the correct email address/Facebook/Twitter account to sign up with so that if you win we can contact you. We won't use your details for anything other than contacting you about winning one or for newsletters if you choose to opt in.
There will also be other prizes available which will be distributed via our social media channels so keep an eye out on these.

As it is a Brighton and Sussex centric awards we ask that people keep this in mind when casting their votes. Therefore we are stipulating a 15 mile voting radius from Brighton town centre, so with our ‘Best Sussex category’ for example, these will be venues that serve Brighton.
