It stands for: Brighton Restaurant Awards Vote Online. The acronym also works well for the action of giving your favourite restaurant a cheery ‘Bravo’ for their efforts! BRAVO is also known as the Brighton Restaurant Awards and they started 3 years go.
The BRAVOs are set up and run by the team behind Brighton’s most popular dining website - Restaurants Brighton. The team realised that there was no 100% public restaurant awards for the city and surrounding area so decided that 2017 would be the perfect time to launch the BRAVO awards. In 2019 the BRAVOs will be 3 years old.
Yes they are. We are committed to ensuring the awards are 100% voted for by the public - which means no panel of judges or critics influencing the vote. All votes will be cast online online via a dedicated hub at brightonrestaurantawards.co.uk and there are limits to how many times an individual can vote for a certain venue (in 5 categories max) to ensure no funny business goes on. All voters must register their email address to be able to vote in each of the 16 categories.
All venues will be able to promotes themselves using the assets we have provided on the website, and the printed marketing material which we will provide to all venues who would like to encourage their customers to vote.
