Restaurants Brighton

A friendly and sustainable company

Ivanka and Nick (a wife and husband team) run a friendly company with a small but growing  team of committed people who hope to make a positive impact on the world – and the Brighton food scene!

Our sustainable business

  • We support the Living Wage Campaign and believe that sustainability in business starts on the inside with the team that makes you a success.
  • Our website uses a green hosting service.
  • We work from home, without the cost and energy overheads of an office.
  • We plant trees to offset our own CO2 production. Check out our little forest.
  • As individuals and as a team, we try hard to act responsibly: we’re largely flexitarian, vegan, home-growing, up-cycling, recycling sorts of people.
  • We strive to work with suppliers and partners who think the same way.
  • Our newsletter provides free exposure for local charities to 17,000 local subscribers.

And now we are sponsoring this year’s Plant Champions award in the BRAVO awards! We all know we should be eating more plant based food – for our health and the planet. Why not get some of your 5-a-day eating at one of Brighton’s best and most innovative restaurants?

How we contribute to our local community

  • We work with the Brighton and Hove Food Partnership to promote community gardens, cooking on a budget, and reducing food waste.
  • In 2019 we took on our first apprentice, it was a great experience for all of us. We’ll be looking to take on another in the future

Restaurants Brighton founded the BRAVOs 6 years ago and the awards have been going from strength to strength. They are now firmly on the Brighton foodie calendar and we’re so excited to launch the 2023 awards.

Some words from Nick: “Brighton hospitality is thriving against all the odds and we’d like to think that the BRAVOs has a part to play in its continued success. Every year we see new businesses nominated which shows us the vitality of the food scene. The thousands of votes from the public prove the continued passion the local community has for the amazingly good food and drink available in the city.”
